Couple opens 2nd I Love Juice Bar 18 months after 1st franchise opens
Juice franchise brings healthy dining alternative to small Southern town
Tim and Christy Graves worked hard to open their first I Love Juice Bar franchise in their hometown of Huntsville, Alabama. Just 18 months later, to kick off 2016, they opened their second smoothie and juice franchise in nearby Madison.
Roughly 12 miles southwest of the Graves’ first location, the Madison, Alabama, I Love Juice Bar will offer the franchise’s signature fresh-made juices, smoothies, salads, spring rolls and soups. Madison residents got their first taste of our fresh, delicious menu at the official grand opening on Jan. 2, 2016. As part of the celebration, local radio station Sunny 98.1 was there from 11-1, and Tim and Christy offered a buy one, get one half off special.
In a small town known more for Southern favorites like catfish, barbecue and meat-and-threes, along with the usual assortment of fast food and Chinese and Mexican take-out joints, I Love Juice Bar is injecting some new flavor into the local dining landscape. “Juice bars are new to the area, and we know that the people of Madison will truly enjoy the unique experience, the fresh ingredients and friendly atmosphere,” Tim says.
I Love Juice Bar uses whole fruits and vegetables and offers vegetarian, gluten-free and organic foods whenever possible. We mix up customer favorites first thing, and then we make our juices and smoothies to order all day long. Our juice bars are perfect for people who want to eat healthy and feel great. Franchise owners purchase directly from local farms when the produce they need is in season, and they take great pride in offering an assortment of items from other local partners year-round.
We pride ourselves on creating great-tasting, super-nutritious juices, smoothies and foods. Our menu features items such as the Super Greens juice with local wheat grass and the Superfoods Salad with kale, spinach, organic quinoa and fresh-juiced lemon dressing. People can even get Power Shots: shot-glass sized juice servings of wheat grass, ginger or ginger/cayenne mixed with essential oils such as the Digestive Aid, Sniffle Stopper, Energizer or the Slim and Sassy.
Tim, a Huntsville native, attended Lee High School and then launched what has become a 25-year career in the restaurant business. He and Christy have two daughters, aged 11 and 13, and they know all too well the importance of making available delicious, nutritious alternatives to fast food.
“We are a so excited to bring a healthy, convenient alternative to Madison,” Tim says. “It will be a gathering place for health-minded customers — people who appreciate fresh-made juices and smoothies made with local ingredients, as well as gourmet vegetarian fare such as fresh salads, spring rolls and soups.”
With such deep roots in the community, the Graves are proud that their new franchise will create 14 local jobs; Manager Summer Grammer trained at their Huntsville location for several months before the Madison location opened.
